CO-FOUNDER, CO-OWNER, COACH
Brooks Farrar, CF-L3, Pn1Brooks believes the CrossFit methodology and style of training, when programmed and coached professionally, is the best way to get in shape and prepare yourself for any physical goal or challenge.
Originally from Medfield, MA, Brooks went to Deerfield Academy, lettering in all 12 seasons in 5 different sports. He then went onto Middlebury College where he played on their perennial NCAA tournament soccer teams and was a national level competitor as both a swimmer and diver. After two years at Middlebury College, he took a year off to find a more suitable academic focus, which is when he was turned onto the strength and conditioning world and decided to pursue an Exercise Science degree at Springfield College. Brooks has been part of Resilience since day one. He has been racking up certifications and degrees, furthering his knowledge in the exercise science realm even before that. Training and inspiring individuals, teams, and groups of people from all ages and athletic backgrounds is his passion. Brooks believes the best coaches follow the gym’s programming as it helps lead by example and shows he is going through the same blood, sweat, and tears as everyone else! Brooks is married to his wife, Katie, and currently lives in Hopkinton. You will more than likely see his dog, Atlas, roaming around the gym saying Hi to everyone! Fitness is the ultimate enabler in life. The more fit you are, the more confident and trusting you are in your body’s ability to do what you want. If you feel trapped or limited by your current state of fitness, set a goal and start working hard to earn the result you want. Vertical Divider

He was a four-year starter for Sutton Varsity and played at an Elite Region 1 Level with Inter SC out of Boston, MA. He coached speed and agility clinics since his early 20’s and has worked as a full-time strength and conditioning coach since 2013.
Josh has helped kids, athletes, and adults of all ages reach their goal in becoming more confident and healthier individuals. Josh’s passion for this sport and industry shines day in and day out. COACH, PROGRAMMING DIRECTOR
Jon Moreno, CF-L1, EMT-BJon is a graduate of Framingham State University with a degree in Business. He has always been an athlete and has always loved sports, especially basketball and football, but it was his interest in football that exposed him to CrossFit. He wanted to play on the football team at Framingham State, so he decided to try CrossFit as a means of improving his overall strength. Jon remembers his first CrossFit WOD, with box jumps and push presses, humbling him so much. At that point, Jon was hooked.
It has been nine years since then, and it has been 8 years since he discovered how passionate he is about coaching others. As Jon improved as an athlete and learned new tricks, he found that he loved sharing these insights with others. Within the CrossFit community, Jon has been able to enjoy and improve his coaching game and develop incredible relationships. In 2015, Jon was also part of the Resilience CF Regionals team. The team went on to place 12th in the Northeast! Jon has become an amazing athlete over the years, but what has made him most proud is his growth as a coach. There is always more knowledge to gain and there is always room to improve. We can thank Jon for not only instructing us to be better athletes each day, but also for programming amazing workouts for our programs and offerings Vertical Divider

COACH
Rich Mayer, CF-L1Rich is a graduate of Northeastern University where he received a degree in Computer Science. Originally from New Jersey, he played multiple sports during high school and continued with competitive club soccer throughout his time at Northeastern. His passion for fitness grew during college and sent him headfirst into the world of CrossFit.
Unlike most people, Rich began to dive into CrossFit by completing main site workouts and learning the movements with online videos at home. After attending the 2012 East Regionals in Canton and becoming immersed in the CrossFit community, he became determined to find the best place for him to train and grow as an athlete. Later that year, Rich walked into Resilience a couple months after they opened and has not left since. With five years of training under his belt at Resilience, he decided that it was time to take the next step and became a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer. Rich loves that the Resilience community is so welcoming and that everyone there has truly become family. Some of Rich’s strengths include teaching basic functional movements that will help athletes move and perform their best. You are likely to see Rich instructing new members in our onboarding Elements program, coaching JumpStart, or participating in the night classes. Rich looks forward to helping the community grow and evolve by assisting people in conquering their goals along their fitness journey. Vertical Divider

RUSH COACH
Andrea PanzeraAndrea grew up in Millbury, MA where she played soccer since a little kid. She played 4 years on the Varsity Millbury High School team and continued to play intermural at Bryant University. Upon graduating, Andrea pursued a career in Marketing.
Andrea has been competitive as long as she can remember, always up for a good challenge or competition. After college she worked with personal trainer, and shortly after was in great shape. She enjoyed the transformations that so many people were able to achieve through small group training classes and started to coach there. There was always some sort of fitness challenge and Andrea’s competitive edge not only helped her but also drove others to try their hardest and push out of their comfort zones. With the grand re-opening of our new facility in 2017, Andrea made her way to Resilience where she would try her first CrossFit class after gym-hopping for a bit. She assumed she would just try it out for a month, but like many, after a class, was instantly hooked. She loved the positive energy from the coaches and the true community feel you often hear about with CrossFit gyms. After two years of being a member, Andrea started to coach our RUSH classes. She encourages members to come to class no matter what the movements may be, as everything can be modified. She loves meeting new members and helping them make their one hour at the gym the best hour of their day. Vertical Divider

RESILIENCE NUTRITION COACH
Rebecca Paquette, Pn1Rebecca is a long-time high-tech corporate communications pro who has a passion for changing the way people feel physically and mentally through exercise and nutrition. She is a Level 1 Precision Nutrition certified nutrition coach and has been coaching clients for more than five years. Her approach is one that focuses on creating a healthier relationship with food while educating clients on what drives a happy, healthy body and mind for the long game.
Rebecca’s approach is customized – nutrition is not one size fits all. We all have different past experiences with food and dieting, emotional triggers and needs. She knows because she’s been there having struggled with being overweight and underweight, and inflammation caused by food sensitivities. Whether it’s finding the foods that are causing inflammation, simply getting more fruits and vegetables or dialing up overall nutrition to perform better– she’s focused on enabling people to discover their best self through better habits, and breaking away from preconceived notions based on “diet culture.” She lives in Hopkinton with her husband Rich and two daughters Eleanor and Eliza-Mae. You can follow her nutrition tips on our Resilience Nutrition members page on Facebook and on Instagram @eatclean_rinse_repeat. Vertical Divider

COACH, NUTRITION COACH
Alex Habib, CF-L2, Pn1Alex was first introduced to CrossFit in 2012 while studying at McGill University in Montreal, QC. After finishing the benchmark workout “Angie” with a group of student athletes, he knew he had found something special. He immediately began to immerse himself in the CrossFit world, interning and coaching at several gyms throughout the Boston area before finding RCF in 2015.
After coaching both CrossFit and RUSH classes, Alex quickly learned that he had a passion for helping athletes achieve their nutrition goals. In 2017, he joined the Resilience Nutrition Program as a nutrition coach and has not looked back since. Five years later, Alex finds himself coming back to the gym day after day for the exact same reasons he joined Resilience in the first place – Family, Fitness, and Fun. The reward for me is experiencing the journey an athlete takes on their path to success. The confidence that is built brick-by-brick is incredible to watch and be a part of. Vertical Divider

ROWING COACH
Sabine St. Pierre
At Resilience, Sabine fills up a Sunday rowing class with both rowing enthusiasts, and those wanting to learn the basics of rowing. Small tricks go a long way and help members become more comfortable and efficient on one of our most popular cardio machines. Sabine’s energy is contagious and is just one other reason people love the Sunday rowing class!
If you know Sabine, you know that she and her family are no strangers to the fitness world. She started as a gymnast at the age of 4 and competed until she was 14. In high school, she “retired” from gymnastics to try her hand at other sports. She played soccer, competitive cheering, and was an all-star sprinter and jumper on the track team. Sabine attended college at UCONN where she branched out and tried the sport of rowing, and suddenly realized she was a natural! After one fall season as a novice, she found herself in a varsity boat, and quickly moved into stroke seat! She rowed stroke seat for head racing each fall and sat 7 seat in the spring for sprint racing. After graduating college, Sabine coached the adult rowing program at the Riverfront Boathouse in Hartford, CT for one summer before moving back to Massachusetts and coaching for St. Mark's in Southborough for four years. In the spring of 2018, Sabine had the opportunity to train for the Head of the Charles with a fellow rower from our Resilience community. The pair trained hard and had a successful race.
